Our History
Knit Three Together began in the 90's as a collaboration of the mother-daughter team of Ruth and Beth Humphreys designing for Ruth's mail-order yarn store, Imagiknit 2000. The company evolved when Ruth retired from the store, but Ruth and Beth continued to design on their own under Severn Pines Designs. They became Knit Three Together when the third generation, Beth's daughter Lorysa joined them with her own designs. Finally, after Beth hooked her best friend, Jeanne Mondschean on the art of knitting and knitwear design, they teamed up and Knit Three Together was born.

Knit Three Together celebrates the way in which knitting has brought together countless women and men across generations, locations and cultures to enjoy the common love of fiber, design, style and the community that hand knitting can provide." Beth has created a thriving knitting community in Sidney, expanded K3Tog sales across North America, and recently moved the Beacon Yarn Studio into larger premises.
Ruth Humphreys, Life-long Knitter & Creative Powerhouse
Ruth began by knitting for her own family and then for friends and relatives. Over time she began changing the patterns and received so many compliments that it was a natural evolution for her to design her very own. Rather than her unique designs, she is more proud that she has passed her technical skills and love of knitting to her children and grandchildren.
Lorysa Fernandez, HotDesigner & Experimenal Knitting Diva
She has accomplished so much it's hard to believe she just turned nineteen. As a girl Lorysa knew that she wanted to design knitwear that would flatter the figure, catch the eye and be a pleasure to knit. Gaining technical skills from the experts, her sensational patterns make the most of the yarn's spirit, combine colours in imaginative ways, and show true design flair. Lorysa is a designer to watch.
Jeanne Mondschean, Designer Extraordinaire
Jeanne was busy creating new looks for Stitches West and promises to post a paragraph about herself just as soon as she has filled all the orders! (She says she's going nuts!)
